Ram Katzir

Ram Katzir was born in Israel in 1969. He studied sculpture and photography at The Cooper Union School of Art in New York (1993-94) and received a Bachelor’s degree from the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam in 1995. Katzir has exhibited internationally and had solo exhibitions at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, The Netherlands (1997), The Israel Museum in Jerusalem, Israel (1997), The Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art, Israel (2005) and Kyoto Art Center in Japan (2009). 

 

Ram Katzir’s work has also been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, New York (2001), the Architecture Biennale Rotterdam (2003),  Aomori Contemporary Art Center (2007) and Niigata Water and Land Art Festival (2009). Katzir's public sculptures have been placed in land mark locations across Europe and he is currently working on new projects for Tokyo and Beijing.
