Max Gerthel is an architect, designer and curator with an interest in cross-disciplinary and collaborative practices in art and design. From 2011 to 2016 he was co-director of IFP, initiating the move to Heizhima hutong and the opening of Black Sesame Space. In parallel, he has been running Max Gerthel Studio, a multidisciplinary design studio working with projects ranging from architecture and interiors, product design and installations.

 

Since 2017 he is based in Malmö, Sweden.
